Victoria Scoville is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who holds a Bachelor of Arts in Family Psychology from Oklahoma Baptist University and a Master’s in Social Work from The University of Oklahoma. Victoria is Endorsed as an Infant Mental Health Specialist (IMH-E®) through the Oklahoma Association of Infant Mental Health (OKAIMH) and is an active member of OKAIMH.

As a therapist in the field since 2010, Victoria has acquired extensive training in the field of Infant Mental Health and Reflective practice as well as working with at-risk populations who have experienced trauma, violence, neglect, loss, and separation. Victoria is rostered in Child-Parent Psychotherapy, is trained in Circle of Security Parenting, is a Certified Educator of Infant Massage, and has received training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy as well as Conscious Discipline. Victoria’s training supports her in working with children prenatal through 5 years old within the context of a caregiving relationship.

Victoria believes in the power of healing through relationships and focuses her work with infants and young children on repairing ruptures within their relationships and processing emotional hurts within a safe and nurturing environment. Victoria utilizes COSP in her work with parents who have infants and young children by providing groups to parents seeking support with parenting. Victoria also holds the truth that all adults were children once and their experiences shape who they are in the present. This viewpoint shapes her individual work with adults by honoring their histories to support their healing. Victoria is devoted to supporting others within their journey of healing and commits to partner with you and your family in restoring joy and peace with in your life.

I facilitate Circle of Security Parenting groups virtually and in person and use aspects of the COSP program with the families I work with in therapy.

I’ve been using COSP since my training in 2016. I run up to six groups a year both face to face and online (since the licensing changed) in my NHS role. I am also keen to run groups in my private time at evenings and weekends for those people who can’t attend during normal working hours. I specialise in running groups for children with neurodivergence but also have run groups for caregivers of young infant and children up to the age of 9 years old. I love sharing the circle with people and have been successful in working towards it being a more universal offer where I work in Plymouth. I love offering Circle groups as there is so much value and support from being in a group but also work individually with caregivers sharing COSP where a group participation might make it more difficult. I am a certified Psychoanalyst, Parent-Child Attachment Consultant and Circle of Security Facilitator. As well, I am a current board member of the Attachment Network of Connecticut. I am in private practice. I have been in private practice with children and adults since 1996 both in Sydney Australia and Connecticut. In particular with children, my work is grounded in an attachment informed relational approach – with the parents I use a developmental approach and Circle of Security Parenting.
Areas of work which interest me are attachment, the development of the child and a family within a social and cultural context, adoption, trauma, reflective parenting and attachment in schools.

Worked using COSP with families involved with DCF/CPS, low income families, couples, as well as with mothers and fathers individually. Also trained in Triple P and PAT.
