I work with early childhood educators and families with children ages 0-6

For over twenty years my career has focused on supporting parents and young children.
My specialty is supporting the transition to parenthood during pregnancy, postpartum and beyond. I provide developmental guidance and child parent psychotherapy. I often use Circle of Security Parenting for psychoeducation and to enhance parents’ reflective capacity. I have worked with adult parents as well as teen parents. All parents have ideas in mind of how they hope to parent their own children; things they want to do similar to how they were raised, and things they want to do thing differently. I offer parents a non-judgmental space to reflect on being the parent they want to be. Thanks to my training in Circle of Security Parenting, I understand that all children need to experience nurturance, delight, and a safe place to explore. Children often act in ways that adults do not understand, especially when they have experienced significant life stressors. My use of Circle of Security Parenting engages parents to reflect in order to gain a deeper understanding of the meaning of their child’s behavior, and to enhance secure parent child relationships.

I am an integrated behavioral consultant in a rural community health center. We receive referrals for COSP classes via child protective services, probation and parole, and within our health center. Our center is open from 7 am until 6 pm Monday through Friday. The COSP class is usually scheduled for early afternoons.

As someone deeply committed to supporting families and understanding the intricacies of attachment, I believe my education, experience, and knowledge make me well-suited for guiding you through this transformative parenting journey.

I have undergone specialized training in attachment theory and interventions, ensuring that I bring a nuanced and informed perspective to the Circle of Security Parenting course. This training has equipped me with practical tools and strategies to help you navigate the unique dynamics of your parent-child relationship.

My facilitation style is characterized by empathy, active listening, and a non-judgmental approach. I create a safe and inclusive space where your experiences, concerns, and triumphs can be shared openly. I am genuinely passionate about supporting parents and guardians in fostering secure attachments with their children.
